In France, schools where students are showing any swine fly symptoms within a week of their return will be closed to prevent further spread of the potentially fatal H1N1 virus. The UK and US however plan on keeping schools open unless it appears the health care system is becoming overwhelmed and will be unable to handle the influx of new cases presented to them.<br />

You might be able to find free French lessons offered through state schools, but generally no concessions are made for foreign students.  Foreign students are first tested before placed in classes.<br />

Education in France is intense, and you will attend long lectures.  You will find many languages spoken around the university.<br />
