This week 270 million pupils will return to class in Europe, leading health officials to fear there may be a possible rise in the number of swine flu cases being diagnosed daily. In France, schools where students are showing any swine fly symptoms within a week of their return will be closed to prevent further spread of the potentially fatal H1N1 virus. The UK and US however plan on keeping schools open unless it appears the health care system is becoming overwhelmed and will be unable to handle the influx of new cases presented to them.
