State School Education In France

Education in France takes place mostly in state schools. State schools lack many extra-curricular activities. There is usually no gyms, pools, or sport facilities. There are not school clubs or sport teams. Computers are rarely used, and work is done on paper. To make up for this an emphasis is placed on grammar and other studies. Calligraphy is also taught.
